Following 20 years of research in this field, Target Loading is considered to be one of the most effective strength training methods available today. Target Loading arms each user with the ability to vary the resistance curve of the exercise. Maximal resistance can be placed at any point in the range of motion (beginning, middle, end, etc.). Although this is a very simple process, the results are powerful! Muscles are optimally trained through all ranges of motion - leading to better results in less time, shorter yet more comprehensive workouts, increased muscle fiber recruitment and elimination of over-training.

Here are some theories that help explain what causes such phenomenal results:

Perpetual muscle confusion
" If muscles get bored, they stop progressing - if you train with the same resistance pattern day after day, workouts become stagnant. Target Loading causes perpetual muscle confusion and leads to steady, continuous development.
Increased Muscle Fibre Recruitment
" Within each muscle fiber there are small amounts of "muscle fuel" that create the "energy banks" needed for muscular work. Training with the same resistance pattern set after set calls upon the same limited number of energy banks while leaving many energy banks under-utilised. Muscle become better coordinated and recruit with optimal intensity and efficiency. The result is a significant increase in functional strength and capacity.



Accommodates Dysfunctional Muscle Regions
" Individuals suffering from injuries, arthritis, neuromuscular trauma, muscular atrophy or overuse syndrome may have impaired or weaker areas of the exercise motion that interfere with proper training.
